Linking your HLC email address with Google

At this time Huntington Learning Center will only grant ownership access to Franchisees through their HLC created email address. In order to manage Google My Business using this email, Franchisees will need to link their HLC email addresses to a Google Account. This is a relatively simple process and is outlined below.

Access The Google Accounts Webpage:

First navigate to https://accounts.google.com to enter the accounts login screen. You will be presented with the below option if you are not already logged into another google account.

If you have previously logged into google through a different account, you will want to select the icon in the top right corner (should be a letter or photo) and then select the “Add Account” Option.

Creating your Google Account:

First click on the “Create Account” Option. When prompted select the “To manage my business” option.

You will now be on the Account creation screen. You will see an option in the middle of the form to “Use my current email address instead”. Select this option.

This will change the form slightly, allowing you to now add a custom email address into the form rather than creating a new Gmail account. In this box enter your HLC issued email address and complete the remainder of the fields and select next.

This will not take you to the verification screen for your email address. At the same time Google will send your HLC email address a verification code through email. Look for this code and enter it in this screen

Once your email is confirmed Google will ask for a phone verification as well. Provide your phone number and the phone verification screen will populate.

Enter your validation code and select next. You will be taken to the completion of the Google profile section. This will require you to add a date of birth and gender. Google requires a firm answer to date of birth and the gender questions can be declined in the drop down menu.

Select Next and the skip over the “Get More from you number” screen. Next you will see the terms and conditions screen. Select I accept and your profile will now be completed At this time you will be taken to a screen on google for managing your account. Your HLC email address is now directly linked as a google account and can be used to manage a Google My Business listing.
